Every Thursday Hunter hosts what I like to call “Thrilling Thursday” at his apartment for our best couple friends, Amber and Mark. Just last week we went out to dinner on Wednesday too! This great little place Venice has a special on Wednesday and we are making it a new tradition along with Thrilling Thursday. The night got me thinking about great wines, and how I would love to know more about them, and share them with y’all! Venice is giving me the opportunity to try great bottles every week and bring them to you. Bear with me, I am learning weekly, but I thought since I have a few that I think are great and somewhat inexpensive I would share them with my trusty readers.
Manifesto! was the first bottle the boys ordered, and its our favorite wine! The Sauvignon Blanc was full of flavor, and for being new to the wine world we thought it was wine-derful. Its a must try if you’re into white. I am definitely a white gal… in more ways than one.
Black Opal is a great Australian Chardonnay my sister loves! I am more of a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio girl myself, but I must say this is a nice little bottle.
I was digging on Wine Spectator and this Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc was rated one of the twelve most exciting wines of the year. Its going on my list to try. I will get back with you next week on my personal review. Its a California wine.
Babich is a New Zealand wine I have been reading about too, and I haven’t read a bad thing about it yet. On the list. Check.
Being in college buying expensive wine isn’t always in the budget so we have to do some hunting for find great wines we like, and that are GOOD. I went over to Good Wine Under $20, and this little puppy. Firestone. Its a California wine, and its economical.
Friends I am excited about Wine Wednesdays. Is it better than Wacky Wednesdays? I think I am going to make it a weekly theme. What wine do y’all love? Any good suggestions? I am new to the world of wine. Help me out!
I like it!!Call your Aunt Jeanne,she is my wine authority and always is up on the best and the best prices.She chose Cupcake while she was here in Feb.and I really like it,she said it was one of her daily favorites,bonus it was very well priced!!

Ugh Aunt Julie got to it before I could, but "Cupcake" is a must. It is a great chardonnay (not too buttery) and you can get it at any liquor store for about $16. Not to mention the bottle itself is absolutely adorable. 🙂
