Sensational Set: The Nanny Diaries

Good morning, all! How was everyone’s weekend? I must say I had a little too much fun, and I am now way behind in life and in blogging! Yet, again I have to apologize. I will be more organized and productive from here on out. Anyway, have y’all seen The Nanny Diaries? I have not, but I was browsing on Traditional Home last night and I ran across the set, and holy smokes! I like it. A lot. I heard the movie was quite depressing, and Scarlett Johannson isn’t exactly my cup of tea so I skipped out on it. Folks, I am going to see it just for the amazing Upper Eastside interior design. It’s right up my, alley. Is the whole basis of the movie that money can’t buy happiness? Let me know because like I said I haven’t seen it, but this interior design did make me very happy. Check it out:

The lavish living room.

Slipper Chair.

Love this!

Normally, I am not a yellow gal, but this works. The checkered floor is brilliant.

I love the rolling ladder. I am only 5’2 so it spoke to me instantly.

VERY Traditional. There is a lot happening in this room, but its all so luxurious.

She looks like she is going to cry/kill someone/ is really mad. I am not sure which it is, but I love her room and her dress!

Can you hear the Angels singing? They are because this closet is a miracle from God! More motivation for law school. Check.

What do y’all think of the townhouse? Is it too traditional for y’all? I personally love it, but we all know me and having a taste for the finer things in life. I am traditional. I know it. Seriously, what do y’all think about the home and the movie in general?!?

#1 You've inspired me to make a documentary of my summer entitled "Nanny Diaries"…hopefully it won't be a dud like the movie.
#2 You could probably guess my favorite part of this post…THE CLOSET! The matchbox that I store my clothes at the moment makes me want to pull my hair out. I know you feel my sorority-house-claustrophobia angst!
#3 If no one comments on my blog today (which I haven't posted yet), I'm going on strike. I'm completely serious. There will be a formal announcement of my ultimatum tonight!

I love the traditional, but I need more color!!I love the yellow with the black and white floor, always an elegant choice.
I love the closet,I would feel like was shopping everyday!!
I only saw one or two scenes from the movie and it was sad,so I skipped watching it all the way though.
We do won a copy,we bought it for Tiff for Christmas since she was nannying a lot then, she never watched it either!!LOL!
