Inspiration Board: Blue and Yellow

I cooked this puppy up this summer for a real bride who is getting married in May. She is from small-town Alabama and will be graduating in May as well and married a week later. Homegirl doesn’t waste anytime. She goes to the other school,  bless her little heart. She doesn’t know better. Patti is a friend of a friend and was in DC with me this Summer! He proposed at the Jefferson Memorial. Now that’s, American.

Patti (obsessed with her name by the way) never really thought about her wedding so she was a little overwhelmed with the whole scene. Clearly, I do not have this problem soo0… I took it upon my caring self to come up with her Inspiration Board. She loves blue and yellow so I took that and ran with it. Hydrangeas are one of the most beautiful flowers in my opinion and make such a classic elegant statement. It is really all you need. I snagged a real picture of her church to throw in just to personalize her board a little more. Ugh, so gorgeous! The ring I used via google images looks almost identical to hers. Grosgrain is such a simple DIY touch that can just pull the whole theme together. It’s used both at the luncheon set up for decor and for the menu. Patti and soon to be hubby are young so we didn’t want it to be stuffy. More like a “Welcome to Summer… Oh, and the rest of your life!” I never thought of blue and yellow for a Wedding before Patti put it in my ear. Have to say, I am loving it! So happy, so joyous. So Summer.

What are y’all’s colors? Have you thought about it? Tell me. Tell me. Ya never know, I could conjure up one of these little beauties for you!

I would love for you to put my wedding together, but we need to come up with a groom first. I'm loving your blog! I bought 2 bottles of the Texas OPI polish after I read about it from you.
