Workin’ Girl: The Nine to Five Essentials

I love work, I do. I’m extremely blessed to have a job I luuvv, but I mean, let’s be real… it’s still work. You need your goods to help get ya through the week. With that said, here is my perfectionist’s guide to your top 15 workin’ girl essentials refresh your work environment for 2014:

1. Hydration & Caffeination – It’s crucial. This cutie Kate Spade Traveler and my HydraCoach are with me all day everyday.
2. Hair Twisties – Essential for long days at the office or a bad fur day.
3. A Classic Tote – Great brown option here. Love this gray tote
4. Lip Balm/Chapstick – Chapped lips are the worst. Love Bobbi’s SPF 15.
6. Agenda – Whether it be paper or electronic. A girl must be organized. Love this, this, and this.
7. Fun Phone Cover – Spice up your boring desk with a great phone cover.
8. Lips – Trish McEvoy’s Cubby stick is a go to for me during the day. I use it on my cheeks too if I’m in a pinch.
9. Bronzer – For a mid day spruce and powdering of the nose of course.
10. Snacks – Always stock your desk with healthy snack options like a KIND bar or some almonds so you don’t binge at the vending machine or after work.
11. Earbuds – To drown out noise and get in the zone.
12. Wet Ones – Judge me all you want. These puppies are lifesavers.
13. Ballet flats – I keep a pair under my desk and slip them on after arriving to work, then I slip on my heels for meetings. No one will ever know.
14. Classic Black Pumps – They don’t have to be Louboutin’s, but invest in a nice pair of black pumps. They will never go out of style and they’re necessary. Love these three 1, 2, 3
15. Blanket – You’ll thank me later, offices are so annoyingly cold. There is a great heated one from Brookstone. If you’re not into the heated blankets I love this option.
What are your must haves for the work week?
